An interesting option is the eSIM from MobiMatter, priced at $4.49. It’s valid for 14 days and will also work in other Balkan countries, such as North Macedonia, Kosovo, Bosnia, etc.
Moderate Data Usage (5 GB)
The cheapest 5 GB eSIM can be found at eSIM4Travel for $7.79. However, considering the operator’s network, we recommend choosing another option.
Our top choice is the “Balkan Special” package from MobiMatter. For $10.99, you’ll get an eSIM that automatically connects to the best network in each country and works across the entire Balkans. This eSIM is valid for 30 days.
High Data Usage (10-200 GB)

Traditional SIM Cards in Serbia
In Serbia, you can purchase SIM cards from operators mts, Yettel, or A1. Regarding coverage, all are relatively good, but if you plan to travel to remote areas, mts is the best option.
SIM cards are easily available – you can find them at airports, newsstands, gas stations, or operator stores, and prices are consistent everywhere. From February 10, 2025, every SIM card must be registered with an ID card or passport.

Summary of eSIM Serbia
Getting a SIM card in Serbia is very easy. You can buy one at a gas station as soon as you cross the border or at the airport when you land. Prices are also very reasonable. For around €12, you can get 100 GB or more.
The problem arises if you want one SIM card for your entire trip through multiple Balkan countries. Local SIM cards won’t work across borders.
